Hi everyone! In The Frugality Game, my family and I discover all sorts of amazing animals while we’re on Safari. Here are some ways that you and your family can enjoy exotic animals without breaking the bank.
Have a safari birthday! Amazingmoms.com provides great ideas on putting together an animal safari birthday party. From jungle birthday invitations to face painting of tigers and giraffes. It also gives great game ideas for your party like pin the tail on the lion or feed the monkey bean bag toss.
Safari activities when traveling. This site provides printable pictures of safari animals that your kids can color at home or on family vacations. Animal pictures like zebras and elephants that you can print and make as many copies as you want to make their own personal coloring book.
Trip to the zoo. There are several amazing zoos your kids can enjoy that offer great deals. Try going during the off-season or looking for a family discount.
Animal crafts. Kids love to keep busy and making animal crafts are a great to make that happen. Paper animals are quick and easy and your kids can make their own paper zoo! This site offers instructions on how to make these paper crafts with little cost. They also give instructions on finger puppets, foam animals and more.
Online Safari games. My daughter Frannie loves puzzles that she and her brother Freddie can play while we are traveling in between adventures. The Frugality Game and others offer a nice, safe way to interact with exotic animals from the comfort of your living room.
Visit your local library. Filled with books and DVDs that you can borrow for free, our library is the place to be to learn about the world. Check out all sorts of books on animals and learn more about your favorites. You can also find nature DVDs and documentaries that your family will enjoy.
These are just a few ideas to share with your kids that will make learning about animals fun and adventurous! What are your favorite ways to appreciate animals?

I pretty much just stick to the Animal Channel on TV
yeah they’re scary enough on tv!
that’s about as upclose and personal as I wanna get.
We pretty much just look through books and the internet which have some really neat pixs, some in which you can interact.
